| Colegio Inglés
|
|
| Our school year lasts from late august to the end of June. We
have two weeks off for Christmas, as well as two more for Easter,
and about five days off due to Mexican holidays. The schedule for
our teachers is from 7:40 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
All teachers also come 2 to 3 hours in the evening per week for
tutoring and remedial programs. We also have teachers’ meetings in
the evening once a week. |

REQUIREMENTS FOR
TEACHERS |
 |
This kind of opportunity is for native English speaking
people, with a strong desire to learn Spanish, who hold a degree
either in Education, Psychology, Sociology or any other humanistic
approach. We believe that experience is useful but not
indispensable, and of course Spanish is not required. Even though,
Colegio Inglés is a catholic institution, teachers do not have to be
catholic to work in this school. |
| Teachers get a monthly salary which is for personal expenses
and food. The school provides a nice home which is shared with
teachers with no dependants. Teachers with dependants will have to
rent a house at their own expense. All school houses are not co-ed.
You can take for granted that the salaries are enough to cover
comfortably your personal needs while you live in México, and it
allows you to save at least 30% to 45 % of your salary at the end of
the contract if you fulfilled it satisfactorily. |

Torreón is a modern industrial city located in the north of
México in the state of Coahuila, just south of Texas. Our population
is over 900,000. We have dry weather and very little rain. We could
say that there are just two seasons here: summer and some days of
mild winter. The sun shines almost the whole year. Our temperatures
range from 25ºC to 40ºC in the summer and from 15ºC to -3ºC in the
winter. |
| Not many believe us when we advise to bring warm clothes for
our colder winter days, so make sure to bring warm clothes for our
colder winter days, so make sure to pack some! |
